SINGLE PITCH AWARD TRAINING
The skills needed to supervise groups of novice climbers in potentially hazardous environments are different to those required to climb safely with friends. Our Single Pitch Award (SPA) tkes place in the Dartmoor National Park and provides training and assessment on how to organise and supervise safe, effective and enjoyable sessions for relatively novice climbers on single pitch crags and climbing walls. The courses are run under the MLTB umbrella.
John Diplock MIA, is a member of the Association of Mountain Instructors and many years of experience. He has climbed extensively throughout the UK as well as Spain, and Nepal. He is an SPA course provider for the MLTE.
