TREKKING WITH NOMADS IN MOROCCO
A Unique Exploratory Trek Through the Jebel Saghro with a Family of Ait Atta Nomads.
Six hours south of Marrakech lies the wild and mysterious Jebel Saghro range, a land of lonely volcanic peaks, bright oases and big skies. For eight months of the year, the Saghro is home to the semi-nomadic Ait Atta tribe and their extended family of sheep, goats, camels and mules. In May, when summer begins to scorch the Saghro the Ait Atta begin their migration to the cool air and high pastures of the High Atlas to the north. This pioneering trekking adventure is like no other, as we follow the migration of a nomad family through the Saghro from N'kob to Boumalne Dades; a chance, for a week, to live the life of a nomad. The scenery along the way is ideal for lovers of big views and wild desertic expanses and the easy grade of trekking make this trip suitable to a wide range of abilities.
