LEAD CLIMBING

This course covers the skills necessary for safe lead climbing, use of protection, basic self rescue, choice of routes, rope techniques and skills. You should leave with a confident understanding of lead climbing. An excellent follow up to our Introduction to Climbing course. These courses are run over a weekend with an additional but optional day on Monday when you will have the opportunity to lead some classic climbs under the watchful eye of an experienced instructor.
We run these courses on Dartmoor and Cornwall, visiting local crags on Dartmoor and the coast. You should have a basic understanding of rope work and belaying before coming on one of these weekends.

These courses are run over 2 days with an optional 3rd day.
