River Wye Canoe Exploration
This canoe adventure holiday is designed for people with a sense of fun and adventure. You may never have canoed before or you may be wheelchair bound – no problem, provided you are prepared to ‘muck in’ and have a go!
The River Wye river flows through some of the most pleasant Welsh border country. The river is teeming with bird life, swans, ducks and sand martins galore.
We will be launching from different locations every day to take in as much of the river as possible, and we will base ourselves at Lucksall campsite, Holme Lacy, which has fantastic facilities and friendly staff. We have been returning there year after year.
Each day we paddle along a section of this lovely river in open 2 person boats rafted together which creates a very stable craft. This adventure on slow moving water will allow everyone to improve their paddling skills. There will of course be the usual night out and we will visit the ‘Yew Tree’ where our host Mike is an old friend and the food is fantastic.
Qualified instructors and excellent equipment will ensure your safety throughout the trip.
